The stories you were told as a little child about monsters, nightmares, legends whispered around campfires... they are all true. The legend goes the crusaders summoned an angel. The angel Raziel. Raziel poured his blood into a cup and those who drank from it became half angel, half human. Shadowhunters, also known as Nephilim. As did their children and their children's children. Beings of immense power. Strong enough to restore the balance, protect the world in a war against evil. A war that can never be won. They must always be fought.
